Camilla & Paul: Autumn Oxfordshire Wedding at The Great Barn, Aynho

Oxfordshire made the perfect backdrop for Camilla & Paul’s countryside wedding, set on a crisp late September day which we loved capturing from start to finish.

My day started as I met Camilla and her bridesmaids as they got ready at a local AirBNB. It was such a fantastic idea and made for a chilled out morning with plenty of space for everyone to prepare for the day.

Camilla chose a backless Charlie Brear dress with a flowing tulle skirt which looked fantastic paired with her Tilly Thomas Lux headpiece and greenery bouquet, and it was such a joy capturing everyone’s reaction as they saw her in her dress for the first time! Meanwhile, Paul and the groomsmen got dressed at the Great Barn, with the groomsmen in ecru linen suits and Paul looking sharp in navy.

They had chosen St Mary’s Church in Adderbury for their ceremony, a beautiful church filled with light which made for fantastic photos. Camilla walked down the aisle accompanied by both her mother and father and I think the way they beamed at each other when she met Paul at the end of the aisle says it all!

As they left the church, they were showered with so much confetti that a fellow photographer asked me later if it was Photoshop - absolutely not - there really was that much of it in the air! The celebrations continued back at the Great Barn in Aynho, where the newlyweds were greeted with hugs and congratulations from their nearest and dearest.

The venue kindly took us out in a golf buggy to really make the most of the beautiful grounds for photos, including a nearby lake and woodland which were such a joy to shoot in. It was lovely to not only capture the two of them but also give them a moment to themselves in the middle of the wedding madness!

Everyone sat down for dinner and the speeches had everyone laughing and crying (sometimes both at the same time!) And we can’t forget the dance floor - it had to be one of the best I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing with serious moves going on in every direction.

Thank you Camilla & Paul for having us along for the ride! We loved your fantastic day and wish you every happiness.

We are absolutely over the moon with these photos. I was in tears looking through them. We’re with my family in Ireland for Christmas so it’s been lovely to share the pictures with everyone here too!

Marc & Ben: Heartfelt Autumn Wedding at Plum Park

On a sunny September day, Marc and Ben’s wedding took us to Plum Park, a beautiful Victorian Manor House nestled in the Northamptonshire countryside. Their wedding holds a special place in my heart, as Marc had been a close friend of my sister during their school days and it meant so much to see him marry the man of his dreams.

Their day was filled with love from start to finish, with a particularly touching moment as Ben was gifted his late father’s watch which Marc had lovingly restored for him as a surprise wedding present. It was one of the most thoughtful presents I’ve ever seen being opened and such a joy to capture.

As Marc and Ben exchanged their vows in front of family and friends there wasn’t a dry eye in the room! It’s so clear they are just made for each other and that they are surrounded by so much love and support. They started their married life to what can only be described as an explosion of confetti, streamers and bubbles - pure fun!

The newlyweds looked dapper in their matching navy suits, complemented perfectly by their buttonholes of roses, eucalyptus and gypsophila. It was lovely to steal them away for photos, first during their drinks reception and later during an incredible golden hour which made for my favourite shots of the day.

Of course, we couldn’t resist getting photos on the bouncy castle before the evening celebrations kicked off! It was such a joy capturing this exciting milestone in their lives together and we wish Marc and Ben a lifetime of happiness. Congratulations you two!

Harriet & Will: Rustic Autumn Wedding at Dodmoor House

September is always a wonderful time of year to get married, and Harriet and Will’s sunny wedding day at Dodmoor House in Northamptonshire was a perfect example of why.

My day began in the honeymoon suite where Harriet, her bridesmaids and mum were getting ready. One of the things I love the most about Dodmoor is how the honeymoon suite overlooks the courtyard, allowing you to catch glimpses of the arriving guests through the net curtains, adding to the excitement!

This wedding was particularly special as I’d previously met Harriet’s mum Charlotte, a talented artist, when she had hired me to capture photos of her working. It was so touching to see her again on such a special day in her family’s lives and it was lovely to see her creative touches in all of the decorations.

With Harriet in her flowing tulle dress paired with a bouquet of dried gypsophila, and Will in a grey three-piece tweed suit, they were perfectly dressed for the relaxed countryside day they had planned.

The ceremony took place in the Courtyard Barn which had been set up in a unique landscape layout that made for truly lovely photos. Harriet walked arm in arm with her dad across the sunny courtyard, and I loved capturing Will’s beaming smile as she entered the barn. Their ceremony was so emotional and filled with touching readings from their friends and lots of happy tears.

Afterward, everyone gathered on the steps for a group photo, followed by petal confetti showering down on the newlyweds to kick off the celebrations. Guests enjoyed canapés and drinks in the courtyard whilst we headed off to the orchard for family photos, and it was nothing short of magical when a butterfly landed in Harriet’s hands!

The Catesby Barn was adorned with thoughtful, rustic details including jars of dried flowers, screenprinted table decorations and a hand-made paper cut featuring the couple’s names and wedding date.

With perfect timing we were treated to a fantastic golden hour as the speeches finished, and we whisked the newlyweds off for couples portraits not only to make the most of the beautiful light but to give them a quiet moment together too.

It was such a joy to capture your day, Harriet and Will! Thank you so much for having us and we hope you love your photos just as much as we loved taking them.

Thank you so much! Receiving these was the best Christmas present ever! They are beautiful!! We are so happy with them and you were so amazing on the day.

Lorna & John: Relaxed Spring Wedding at Furtho Manor Farm

As Lorna’s mum is a close friend of mine, when Lorna & John got engaged I was more than happy to suggest some venues when they began their wedding planning and were looking for a chilled-out, rustic vibe for their day. I was so thrilled to hear they booked Furtho Manor Farm and it was such a treat to return there to capture their wedding.

My day started capturing the pre-wedding excitement as the girls got ready at the farmhouse. It was so special capturing people I’ve known for so long on such an important day and they made me feel so welcome! Meanwhile, my second shooter caught up with John and his best man as they greeted guests before the ceremony. It’s always so lovely being able to capture both stories on the morning of a wedding and I know couples love being able to have a little peek into what the other got up to!

The barn was decked out with sheer fabric draped from the ceilings and a beautiful floral arch, providing the perfect backdrop for their vows. Their ceremony was so personal and lovely, with Lorna’s brother walking her down the aisle, readings from their closest friends and the couple exchanging handwritten vows.

A confetti tunnel kicked off the celebrations, followed by drinks and photos on the lawn. It was such a chilled-out, lovely day - exactly what Lorna and John wanted. Dinner was a relaxed affair too, with guests sharing plates of delicious curry for the wedding breakfast, followed by touching speeches. The barn was every bit as rustic and beautiful as they’d imagined with wooden cross-back chairs and eye-catching arrangements of red and white ranunculus, anemones and tulips on the tables.

For a little break from the wedding madness, we went off with Lorna and John to take couple photos and I was so thrilled to find a beautiful white blossom tree to shoot under. It perfectly encapsulated the season they’d chosen to get married in and it was lovely to laugh with them both as they enjoyed a quiet moment together.

Instead of a traditional first dance, Lorna and John opted for a ceilidh band, which was a hit with everyone and made for some fantastic photos. It’s my favourite wedding entertainment and always gets everyone up and dancing!

Seeing Lorna, John and their daughter start this new chapter was such a privilege - I’m so grateful they asked me to capture their day and it’s definitely one that will stay with me for a very long time. Congratulations you two!

To the best ninja photographers in the business.. thank you, we absolutely love them and have enjoyed reliving our wedding/ best day ever with a cuppa and croissant!

Charlotte & Marc: Romantic Springtime Wedding at Rushton Hall Orangery, Northampton

My wedding season really started off on a high note that year with Charlotte and Marc’s gorgeous spring wedding day! It was a special one for me as Charlotte was a bridesmaid at one of the first weddings I ever photographed, so not only did I get to capture this wonderful day but also catch up with my past couple Martyn and Kate too. It’s always such an honour to be recommended by a past couple and it was so lovely to see them again on another happy occasion.

The day kicked off with a sunny March morning, as I met Charlotte and her bridesmaids as they enjoyed a relaxed morning getting ready at home in matching dressing gowns. Charlotte wowed us all in her Justin Alexander dress, her hair in effortless waves and carrying a bouquet of pink roses, ranunculus and astilbe. I was tearing up behind my camera as I captured her dad seeing her in her dress for the first time - a moment I am sure they’ll never forget.

They had chosen All Saints Church in the picturesque village of Turvey for their ceremony, and Marc looked sharp in his navy check suit as he waited for Charlotte at the end of the aisle. After a joyful ceremony, they left the church to handfuls of confetti thrown by their loved ones before heading to Northamptonshire for the reception.

Rushton Hall and its newly built orangery provided a beautiful backdrop for the rest of their fantastic day, the dining room dressed in white hydrangeas, pink roses and greenery and tables named inspired by Charlotte and Marc’s travels.

After dinner everyone enjoyed heartfelt speeches with laughter and happy tears all around. Their first dance started the evening off with a literal bang as confetti canons went off during their first dance, drenching them in gold confetti as they danced to My Girl by The Temptations (an excellent first dance choice!)

The dancefloor was full all evening and it was so lovely to capture Charlotte and Marc surrounded by so many of their nearest and dearest as they danced the night away.

Thank you both for asking us to capture your fantastic day! We loved every second and wish you every happiness.

We both LOVE them! We both had the most amazing day and it was a pleasure to have you both there. Everyone has commented how discreet you were throughout the day and that’s just what we wanted. Thank you so much!
