First of all we have to talk about these two rocking their wedding day style – I just love their outfits! Bride Emma looked incredible in a unique soft pink coloured Justin Alexander creation, with layer upon layer of soft tulle for a gorgeous bridal look, and she added an edge with funky leopard print heels! And Rich looked ultra-dapper in his brown tweed suit from my favourite people at the Vintage Suit Hire Company, complete with engraved pocket watch. Love it!
They held their ceremony in a beautiful Catholic church in Bedford, which I just knew would make for gorgeous pictures with the sunshine spilling through the big windows and catching the tulle of her dress. The best ceremonies always have a few tears, and I just love their smiles as they sang the hymns they had chosen.
As they left the church to tight hugs and congratulations, everybody lined up for a fab confetti shot, one of the best we’ve had all year! With the October sunset we got some gorgeous sunshine in the gardens of the church for their portraits, after which we headed to the Great Hall for their reception. I love that they had chosen matching bride and groom caterpillar cakes for their wedding cake, paired with a fab tower of choc brownies made by their friends.
With a room decorated in picture frames, and incredibly touching speeches, it was clear to see how close their families are. The best part of weddings are the relationships between people and Emma & Rich’s day really embodied this.
The disco lights lit up Emma’s dress beautifully as they went into their first dance, followed by a full dance floor right up to the moment we left!
