Nicola and Kavi were married on a beautiful September day in the romantic countryside setting of Sheene Mill in Cambridgeshire. It’s always a tiny risk planning an outdoor ceremony in England but it certainly paid off, with the lakeside pergola creating a magical setting for their day.
I love her beautiful bouquet by the Basement Florist, soft coloured roses paired with purple astrantia and freesias. And a floral headpiece to match, borrowed from one of her bridesmaids as her “something borrowed” – a really lovely touch!
I love the little looks they kept giving each other throughout the ceremony, it was so cute! They left under sprinkles of confetti from their guests and enjoyed drinks and canapes on the lawn.
As a surprise Nicola arranged for Kavi’s wedding breakfast to be served to him in KFC boxes.. his reaction was a joy to photograph!
They had a gorgeous first dance interrupted by a huge confetti canon (something I highly approve of!) and afterwards we sneaked off to get some portraits at night as the pergola is beautifully lit and they have tea lights hanging fom the trees. Off camera flash portraits are a new thing for me so it was great to experiment and try something different.. and I’m so pleased with how the pics came out!
